Thank you for your patience...

It's almost embarrassing to log in here and see how infrequently I am able to update this blog!  It isn't that I don't think of all of you, I do.  I just don't think of uploading pictures from our camera and I'm not sure that our lives are all that interesting without photos of the munchkins to share, know what I mean?

It's cold.  Darn cold.  Going down to -14 tonight.  Noah and I are going to put a banana outside tonight and use it for a hammer tomorrow.  So excited!  :)

This week was week one of my life as a stay at home mom to both of my kiddos.  It went pretty well!  We played, went to an indoor park and took in story time at the library!  Noah went to daycare today and he'll go next Thursday.  Then, we're home until August!  Always looking for fun, cheap (free is the BEST cheap) things to do, so if you have ideas, send them my way!  I'm making a list!

Noah is great and Chloe is great.  She is saying "hi" and a word that means "kitty" and it actually sounds pretty close.  She gets very excited when Hobbes is around and she LOVES to walk around after him trying to pet him.  Most days he loves it, other times he runs.  It's good fun to watch!  :)

Here are a few photos to share!  Stay warm!

Until next time,
Stacy

Happy New Year!

We hope that you all enjoyed new year's festivities and that 2011 is starting out well for all of you!  We continue to find our groove.  Sleeping continues to be the biggest challenge for all of us.  I am not sleeping in Chloe's room anymore and she actually seems to be doing a bit better...makes me wonder if I snore.  :)  Noah had been keeping daddy company in bed and now he is moving back to his room or on his little couch next to our bed.  Each night gets a little better as he wakes up in the middle of the night and forgets that mommy is back in bed now.  :)  Hopefully we'll get the kinks out soon and we'll all be sleeping better!

On Monday, I requested an extension of my leave of absence from work to last until the end of the school year and I should hear from the school board after next Tuesday's meeting. Yikes!  I'm going to be a full time mom for the next 8 months!  The hardest parts of the decision was having to tell some of my co-workers, who are also some very good friends, that I wouldn't be back for awhile.  Also, we decided to keep Noah home, too, and that was a hard decision as he has a lot of fun at his daycare.  But, we think that this decision is the best one for our family and we'll have fun creating a new routine with lots of mommy, Noah and Chloe time!  :)  The plan is for me to return to work in the fall and Noah and Chloe will be starting a new daycare together as our current daycare is calling it quits at the end of this school year.  Hopefully the time home together will be fun for Noah and will give Chloe the necessary time she needs for a stronger attachment to all of us before beginning daycare!  I'm super-excited, but also a little nervous about this big change!  It will be an adjustment!

I don't have any new pictures to upload right now...I'll have to start taking some more!  Noah and Chloe are both doing well.  Chloe has started saying, "Hi" and it is quite cute to actually hear her "talking" to us.  She babbles a lot but this is the first English word we have been able to understand.  On New Year's Eve she also started giving kisses!  When we went to pick up Noah from daycare on Monday, we went down the stairs and all of a sudden I heard, "Hi. Hi. Hi" and a lot of lip-smacking!  She was so excited to see Noah again!  Too cute!

That's all for now!  Until next time,
Stacy
